Reference the coin toss post, last week OU won the toss and (for the first time in my memory) took the ball rather than deferring to the second half.
Right, but Monken always defers to the second half if he wins. I can't remember the last time I saw him take the ball. And with how the defense struggles on the opening drives and how much he likes to control the clock, I don't fully understand why he does that with such regularity

Kelvin finally completes a pass to a guy wearing the same colored jersey after three straight interceptions going back to last week.
That's a little bit harsh. I don't blame him for any of them.
1. Bounces off a helmet and unfortunately lands in red jersey.
2. 4th down, he had to throw the ball and hope for something.
3. This Buffalo pass was a pretty good throw, just a great interception.

The refs are doing work for Army, for a chance! Not that they're being unfair, but it's good to see the calls being made.

End of first quarter
Army 7
Buffalo 7

Buffalo ball but 4th and 2, deep in their own territory. They were in punt formation as the quarter ended.

Having to follow the game on my phone, so can’t see anything. But, it seems like after a rough start both the O and D are playing well.

14-7

Would be great to get another stop on D now and

Army's defense always seems to need a wake up call early in the game this year, but fortunately they seem to make the right adjustments. Let's get another stop! Go Army!

Buffalo moved down the field to the red zone, Army stopped Buffalo on a 3rd and 7 pass to the end zone. Christiansen broke up the pass and forced a FG attempt.

FG try blocked and returned for an Army TD by Riley. Oyetuga blocked the FG attempt.

21-7, Army.

Great block! Great hold in the red zone, and it's really awesome to finally be on the right side of a blocked field goal!

Buffalo punts. Army elects to not field the ball and it rolls to the 8. Army takes over but has a long field ahead.

I am pleasantly amazed the D in this half.
