Well rested as well as we can in the middle of the season and for a cross country trip.

Re: Schedule and potential bowl games
The Military Bowl would be amazing. Army playing at NMCS would be an historic occasion and one that would get super-hyped by the national media. It's also close enough that our fans would travel well and it would likely be a sellout if we played a nearby ACC school. It seems like the natural fit for us if not enough teams from the American (Navy chief among them) miss out on bowl eligibility.

I selfishly want the Armed Forces Bowl again, because I live about a mile from TCU's stadium and have access to purchase a suite like last year.

You must be in Colorado or Washington or some such.GoBlackKnights85 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 10:55 amThe Military Bowl would be amazing. Besides there isn't a military academy anywhere around there.

Military Bowl has better payout $1M vs $600K for Armed Forces Bowl but then no Texas recruiting opportunity.DoubleOvertime99 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 3:58 pmJust noticed in CBS's bowl projections a footnote that says Army will play in the Armed Forces Bowl if eligible, but there's no source and the Armed Forces Bowl website does not corroborate.
Personally, I wouldn't mind the Military Bowl because it's in driving distance, but I'm admittedly selfish.

How about the Pinstripe Bowl in the Bronx?
I'm only 60 miles from NYC.
No hotel, no travel expense for me. Just tolls. I hate watching football in Yankee Stadium but its still cheap after you pay the rediculous parking fee.
That Schreveport, LA trip cost me back in 1996. I even lost on those Casino boats near Schreveport at the time.
No traveling expense for Army either. Bus 'em in.

Re: Schedule and potential bowl games
This would be a great bowl for Army. Good payout ($2M,) lower travel expenses, large exposure. Might be a reach though. Pinstripe has consistently invited the conference affiliated teams for 15 out of 16 slots in its history. The only exception was Notre Dame.RABBLE wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 5:33 pmHow about the Pinstripe Bowl in the Bronx?![]()

Re: Schedule and potential bowl games
I think its about time New York gives the local team a shot in their bowl as long as they get Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Notre Dame off their minds for a change. A 2M payout in the Pinstripe Bowl is more than Michigan will give us next year (1.5M).
Maybe if we play in the Pinstripe Bowl, we may actually get "2 or 3" fans of the Subway Alumni to root for the City's local team.
In the past we may have been America's team but never so in NYC. Newspaper coverage of Army hasn't been around for the past 40 years. You get some city fans to root for Army in a local bowl, it would help us nationally and put some more fans into Michie next fall.

Army playing a bowl game in Yankee Stadium... Yeah, I'd like to see that. You may be on to something.RABBLE wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 2:58 pm
