Brett Toth

I am sure you guys all see this stuff, but haven't seen any love for Mr. Toth. Quite a few online articles these past few weeks, I have linked a few. Seems he is killing it in the post season bowls, and not just in his performance (as some are projecting him as a second or third round draft pick were it not for the service commitment), but in his representation of West Point as well. Well done and well deserved Mr. Toth...

Such a great representative for the academy. Thanks for the links.

Seems he has impressed both weeks. Much has been said about his success in pass blocking which was a bit surprising based upon the Army offense’s focus on the run. However, it seems that many scouts are having difficulty finding OL guys comfortable in a 3-Point stance with so many spread offenses in college. It may be easier to develop a guy like Toth into a good pass-blocker than these other guys into decent run-blockers. I’d expect him to be drafted.

And, unsurprisingly he was an excellent representative for the academy.

We need more men talented enough to play at the next level.

Good for the man, the academy and the Army. His participation like Ali does and will cast a bright light on what West Point stands for-- a true student-athlete. May it always be.

Toth is going to the NFL Scouting Combine, first West Pointer since Caleb Campbell and Owen Tolson went in 2008

I have not seen a report on Brett Toth and how he made out at the combine as of yet.

Don’t know how he did in terms of his numbers, but I did hear an NFL GM (can’t remember the team) talking about Brett Toth Friday morning durin g an interview on NFL Sirius XM radio. He said that from his GM perspective, he didn’t really care about Toth’s combine stats, primarily because the team knows they most likely have a two year wait to get him. By that time, this week’s combine number mean next to nothing. He spoke highly of what he’d seen about Toth, both on paper and film. He also applauded his football IQ, based on interactions at the Senior Bowl. I got an all-around positive impression from that GM.

Looks like Toth went to the combine, but did not participate in any of the drills.

Oh, scouts applauded Toth on his football abilities and good things they said about him and then he does not participate in the combine activities !
What gives with that one?
