According to Ken we had 6 year seniors while they didn’t.

Re: Ken making excuses
I’m through even caring how he feels even a little bit. I missed the part of our roster with the 6th year players. At his post-game, he threw his punter and Hall so far under the bus they need a map to get out. I’m sure it sucks, but man up for for crying out loud.

Re: Ken making excuses
Not Ken’s comments, but Gladchuck’s comments caught my attention.
Gladchuck enumerated the Navy’s goals as win the CIC and get to a bowl game. He didn’t say anything about winning a conference championship.
If winning a conference championship is not an institutional goal, then why is Navy even in a conference?

Re: Ken making excuses
Has Ken ever not made excuses?
2016 — Injuries from the AAC title game.
2017/8 — Low quarter shoes causing foot injuries
2020 — COVID because clearly no other teams had to deal with COVID
2022 — the mystery (ie non-existent) redshirted cadets
In his mind Army has never had the better team that deserved to win. Good riddance.

Loved your comments.
Here’s an observation for Coach Ken: the better team never deserves the win. They still have to earn it.
Case-in-point: 1980 USA Olympic hockey team. No way would anybody consider the 1980 Olympic hockey team better than the Soviets. The Soviets were the best team in the world. But you still have to play the game, and if the puck bounces funny, and the goaltender is having an off night, and the coaching staff make a couple boneheaded decisions, the best team in the world might find themselves out scored at the end of 60 minutes of play.
And this is one of the reasons sport is so captivating. You really never know what’s going to happen even when you think you are sure about what’s going to happen.
And the best hockey team in the world in 1980, the Soviets, never made excuses about their Olympic loss.

Re: Ken making excuses
No idea where he's getting the '6th year seniors' stuff...c'mon Kenny, name one. Just one.
Of course, he neglects to mention that Navy was doing the exact same thing that USMA and USAFA were doing (medical redshirt for an additional year of eligibility) right up until their administration decided not to: https://www.capitalgazette.com/sports/n ... story.html.
