The irony here is that one of those coaches (he who shall not be named) has now caused us to change our office TWICE... hope this works out better than the first time he did that...

The former coach changed to a spread option when he got here in 2000, screwed up the program for a decade and a half, and as the executive director of the AFCA, has reportedly been part of the push to ban downfield cut blocks. At least that's the rumor !

He didn’t really move to a spread option. I remember it as more of a run and shoot. Not sure the spread option was around 25 or so years ago.

But I’m with you on the push to outlaw cut blocks! I do put blame on him for that one.

I think the offense was best described as a throw and drop; throw and miss; sack; and punt!
