Tough to tell how fall practices are going, but Daily has at least some game experience which counts for a lot with JM. He ran well in mop-up duty; curious to see how he does with the starters.

Any idea what the depth chart currently looks like at the QB position? I see Zach Mundell listed at #3 (presumably moved up to #2 with the loss of Meredith for the season). The depth at the QB position (or lack thereof) looks to be a bigger question mark than the new offensive scheme for the upcoming season. Has anyone else made an impression on the coaching staff? I'm not a big fan of rotating QB's but it does appear that there will be a need for game experience for backups to Daily should the need arise.

Dewayne Coleman played in the spring scrimmage, so perhaps he is #3.

The official roster lists 9 QBs (it still includes Alex Meredith). After Daily, Mundell, and Coleman the remaining 5 are all plebes.

I’ve heard the names Larry Robinson and Champ Harris a bit in preseason as well. Sounds they are at the top of the plebe depth chart. Robinson was pretty highly regarded for an Army QB coming out of Detroit while Harris is a little bigger.

Per Monken after today’s scrimmage, Daily is #1, Dewayne Coleman is #2, and plebe Larry Robinson is #3.

For the first time in quite a few years, we finally have an "announced" starting QB more than 10 minutes before the opening game. Refreshing take indeed.
