I personally don't see the problem if, in fact, Monken implemented this offense to get a better job (note: I do not think that is true).
Whats the downside? He implements an offense he thinks will work, and we have success.
There is no way he implemented an offense he didn't think would work at Army, because why would he do that? Nobody is going to hire a guy who is 3-9 at Army running a new offense.
Monken rumored to be just above 2.0 in this newest contract. He goes to a P5 and he's making 5-6M a year, for 5-6 years. There isn't a single one of us that is going to turn down an extra $25M to take a different job.
Army is not a destination job in 2023 when you got 10 schools paying life changing 10m a year. Thus isnt 20 years aog where the pay gap was 300 grand. We should seek to hire coaches who want to do so well that they are coveted by the major programs.
