JM Scheme
About one half, maybe two thirds of the way through the seemingly dreadful UMASS game, it occurred to me, way back in my perhaps fading brain, that JM perhaps indicated, very vaguely, to his players through the coaches that”Guys, fight hard, play hard, but we don’t want to show too much to that ball club out in Colorado. I mean, we want to win every game, but we really want to show our very best to that team out west. If you get my drift”.
And I know, I should be in big trouble for even thinking such a thing.

Not exactly sure what you mean but losing to a sorry UMASS team is still an extreme embarrassment and we didn't necessarily blow the doors off today from an offensive perspective.

Good win. Awesome win. Still the o went scoreless in the second half even with the D causing 3 turnovers.prideandream wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 9:24 pm Not exactly sure what you mean but losing to a sorry UMASS team is still an extreme embarrassment and we didn't necessarily blow the doors off today from an offensive perspective.

Obviously points would have been great. That chop block penalty when we were at the fifty was a killer. That being said, it was obvious the decision was made to let dailykfan12 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 2:27 amGood win. Awesome win. Pound it it to run out the clock. We were up by 20, and air forces was falling apart. I can’t complain with that especially given the catastrophic fumbles we’ve had in crunch down previously (BC AND ULM)

Re: JM Scheme
I don’t think our offensive playbook yesterday was very interesting or unique. Bottom line is we jumped out to the lead. Air Force handed us the ball a bunch and we extended the lead. In the second half we were very conservative, which was fine because we protected the ball and used the clock. We didn’t need to get creative and we didn’t.

Re: JM Scheme
Great win. Baffling??
When the other team repeatedly gives you the ball and then cannot stop a seemingly ‘one trick pony’ offense then I guess you go up by 20 at the half.
My wife who attends every Navy home game has been saying since Navy AF game that she didn’t understand how AF was so hyped up and couldn’t believe they are ranked because she was not impressed against ‘a really bad Navy team’. We could have made a lot of money yesterday if I listened to her.

Re: JM Scheme
Larrier really wet the bed with some terrible turnovers but the Michel and Harris fumbles were the result of great tackling and aggressive defenders.
