It's a good sign that we're still practicing under center enough to be willing to run a play in a game [and not in garbage time 4th QTR either] under center. IMO long term we're going to need to be doing that 1st & 10, 2nd & 5/3rd & 3 and less, etc. if we're going to ever be a 10-win team again. I love Thatcher's set on anything worse than those down and distances [and especially in the CiC games, where our opponent knows the flexbone well] but our best games will be when we establish the inside running game with midline / inside veer, etc.

I had heard somebody say that once the offense is fully installed, that we'll be introducing flexbone stuff in again, and seeing them line up in it gives me some hope that they were right.
