less effective than which old scheme? The one from 2016-to 2018? ok yeah. the one that has made our eyes bleed the past few years? way to early for that proclamation.prideandream wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 3:39 pm
At the end of the day this offensive switch was to help us compete better and be more productive offensively.
Through 10 games it is extremely less effective than the old scheme. From a running perpsective it's not even close.
PD
our offense has been bad for several years now, which is why the other guy got fired. I watched tyler fumble three times in a half against georgia southern and i remember you defending that. We threw an interception in a game ending drive that led to our QB being hurt and a near loss to the citadel that same year. the list of disappointing offensive performances since 2019 is long.
we have been pretty ineffective against both army and navy, including some really bad navy teams the past few years.
there's been times this offense has looked really good. there are times where its been inconsistent. When we've turned the ball over we've lost. When we've controlled the ball we've won. We lost to fordham in year 2 of the monken era, and things worked out. Yeah, we lost to UMASS, but we also beat air force and UTSA.
I think some of the situational playcalling could improve, but that is not change from brent davis anyway. the blocking issue can be addressed without throwing out an entire system.
