JM has been the best thing for our program since forever. And Viti may well follow him, but he's got a lot to learn yet, and Jeff ain't done....

Still need a few more CIC's and that big win over some top 10 Power 5...

In addition to your list above, my wish list includes a durable (and legitimate) dual-threat QB who can operate the option consistently and effectively, take a beating himself, and present at least a plausible threat to throw so that defenses can't continue to load the box on us and jam our run game.

To be sure, Monken has, on balance, elevated the program (and let's agree to set this disappointing season aside). And Monken deserves some credit for that. My only point, however, is that Viti will be an even more successful HC at WP.

How do we think he'll do at a HC job, when he can't learn to coach the O line?

The team was fired up. Losing isn’t fun. The team rallies around Viti.

LOL. Viti has been on staff for more than two years. His contact Saturday was only with the RBs. This is a really undeniable bizarre take. From what we've witnessed, he knows one position on the field: the FB in the TO. Not denying he's probably a great guy and may be a motivator, but we haven't seen him perform well outside one position to date.

Actually, to be precise (and P&D can confirm) Viti was not a TO fullback himself. What he knows is not from experience....

But that's a small point. It's not prohibitive. You can be a good TO fullback coach without ever personally playing in that offense, especially if you were an excellent fullback yourself....and imho, he's demonstrated both.

And what Viti also brings (as kfan states), maybe more than any other man on the staff, is PASSION times 10.....love that.
