Bowl game set
Versus Marshall who just lost their head coach. I thought being in a conference gave us good bowl tie-ins. We win league and this is the reward?

Re: Bowl game set
What an awful bowl tie, reflective of a bad league. Historic season and you get the same bowl bid you'd have gotten if you were 7-5? Pointless.
Tulane is playing Florida in an NFL Stadium. Great bowl game for them. Can't say the same about Army.
AAC is a useless league. It is just a scheduling alliance, but what is the point in it all if they can't elevate the program? Army's rewards are the same as if they weren't in the league.
Bad job by Buddie and Tim Pernetti. Playing the Sun Belt in a bowl game is for lower level programs.

With the CFP bowls, what should we expect? AAC has bowl tie-ins. I believe we have even year tie-ins with Independence. Would you prefer the Military Bowl in Annapolis or the bowl at Fenway. The bowl environment changed with the CFP. 11-1 with Navy on Saturday, then a bowl.

There is so sugarcoating. We got a bad location vs a nonP4 team that just lost their coach. And Navy gets oklahoma. Tulane gets florida. We get marshallwithaheart wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 3:47 pm With the CFP bowls, what should we expect? AAC has bowl tie-ins. I believe we have even year tie-ins with Independence. Re: Bowl game set
Navy plays Oklahoma in Fort Worth - far better than Army's game
Tulane plays Florida in Tampa - far better than Army's game
The league and the AD need to do better for a team ranked inside the top 20. Plain and simple, it's a bad bowl game and asks questions of why they are in the AAC- its apparent that its just for scheduling purposes, not that it enhances the football program.

Re: Bowl game set
Pure bullshit withaheart. I wouldn’t care where the damn bowl is played. This is a big middle finger by the league ( if they made the decision). Tulane who we absolutely took to the woodshed in the championship game and who has 3 losses plays Florida? Wtf? The Playoff Committee moved Tulane up to something like 16 and threw us out of the top 25 when we lost to ND. Or Gladchuck, who’s on the committee and hates our guts was doing his best to influence the rest of the clowns on the committee. Apparently, playoff style points for margin of a single loss counts more than actually beating EVERY conference opponent by sizeable margins. Politics is the author of the “fix that’s in” with all of the subjective decision-making going on. Don’t think I’m pissed at just learning of Army. I’m also really pissed to see Alabama in the playoffs. Both my kids are grads and we’re Bama fans right behind Army. They flat out didn’t deserve it. 3 losses, including Vanderbilt, who they hadn’t lost to in 27 years (I believe). But you could see that worthless Playoff Committee doing every to get them in with their rankings.

Re: Bowl game set
Also want to make one more point about the AAC and it's status as a minor league.
There is a decent chance Army will play Navy in a 'title game' the week before the real AN game at some point. That would dilute the value of the sport's greatest rivalry. I hope conference title games fold all around due to the playoff structures, but the AAC presents a bigger let down to Army and Navy with that increasingly logical extra game between the two

Re: Bowl game set
I don’t care about the actual bowl, but the opponent is disappointing, especially when Memphis, Tulane, Navy, and East Carolina ALL get P4 opponents.
