It was pretty ugly today with him. Although on several throws today, his receivers ran the wrong route. Last interception happened because the receiver did not run a sharp route and ended up two yards further inside than he should have. Daily did miss two wide open throws today. One that would have been a touchdown, and he threw one of the stupidest off balance throws for an inteception.

Think this would have been the same result if they both had two weeks off.

Can't say it enough. You can't win this game when you show up like it is a business meeting.

Outcoached, outthought and outplayed. No wonder NC and WV didn't take him.

Once again Navy takes the score to us. When we win, we are usually hanging on by our fingernails hoping and praying for the clock to hit zero.

By far Monkens worst Navy game. 31-13 is an ass kicking, I think multiple things. Team reading their press clippings about how great they are, Navy dominated Line of Scrimmage. Army played tight (as always in A-N). Team seemed unprepared to play. D never adjusted to key on Horvath and he dominated all day. Punt block overloaded the right side, Navy saw that and called an easy fake as a Nose Tackle rambled down the field. Love Daily but his passing was off today with misses and bad interceptions.
etc... etc... this was like an old - men of Ken ass kicking when we lost 14 in a row.
Everyone on Army looked bad all day.

I will be blunt. I have said before that Coach Monken has serious limitations that mar
his professional skill sets. He is an excellent recruiter and administrator and also a pretty good
developer of talent. He has had better material to work with than many on this board have credited him with having recruited. His teams do not quit on him. However, He does not have the depth or quality of collegiate playing experience, the quality of experience of the best assistant coaches, or the analytical capacity required of a first rate Division I football coach. He does not prioritize well, has no gift of foresight, which can also be attained with study, experience and maturation and little or no capacity for adaptation. He is unable to comprehensively train or focus his coaches and players to compete and win at the highest level of his profession within the college ranks. His wins this season were overwhelmingly against inferior, mostly poorly coached teams from schools whose programs were in a state of flux. The Tulane quarterback, for example, playing for a coach who was in his first year with the program, had announced his intention to enter the transfer portal before he stepped on the field to play Army. Coach Monken has been a great coach for Army, but he will never see the day that he is on the level of coaches such as his mentor Coach Paul Johnson or Coach Willie Fitz formerly of Tulane. Forget any comparisons to Coach Earl "Red" Blaik.

This team looked like one who was coached by coaches riding the coaching carousel this week. Which it was.
