Can’t believe we’ve given up two long 3 downs. Cost us a TD.

I wonder if we’ll see a new QB on our next possession.

JM is clearly still into the game. 2nd team O having a tough time staying on sides. Not sure who #14 is, but JM just took a big bite out of his rear.

Coach Monken was asked about the fake field goal by a CBS sideline reporter as
he was walking off the field accompanied by two state troopers. He said that he
had two options on that play call and owned to having made the wrong one.

On the play no provision was made to block or divert the perimeter Rice defender who
made a good play on the ball. This was an unnecessary, unforced error of a kind I have
always attributed to a degree of professional immaturity on the part of Coach Monken which was
heightened when Brent Davis was his offensive coordinator and which continued before
the departure of Davis' unlamented successor.

Army has a chance to have a special season this year with strong balanced material and
playmakers on both sides of the line of scrimmage and Cody Worley and Nate Woody
fielding well-coached units. Bryson Dailey is more polished this year as a runner and his passing is much improved.

Coach Monken, I subjectively believe, can be his own worst enemy depending upon the circumstance, but if he can master those impulses this team can defeat each team it plays this season, with Temple, on a short week, Navy and Notre Dame and Air Force being his most formidable, although beatable, obstacles.

Bryson is the machine that runs this team. He has been magnificent now in three games. We MUST have him all this year without an injury. I am holding my breath that he remains healthy. Coleman is good and speedy and we wish him the very best as Daily's backup.
