I thought Air Force was supposed to be the first 5-7 team in a bowl due to APR? I would have rather played them again.

This is probably the first time in history that "Academic Progress Rate" and Louisiana Tech have been used in the same sentence ... or paragraph ... or even story.

Apparently AF made it clear that they would accept but the bowl chose whatever made up college we are playing. Western Louisiana Seminary or something?

Ironic.
Louisiana Tech said no to the Independence Bowl in 2012 and their 9-3 team (which nearly defeated Johnny Football and A&M) missed the bowl season entirely. Now, their 5-7 squad heads to Shreveport.
