The debacle started with the opening kickoff. Things like that have usually been a prelude to an impending disaster for Army.

Today’s debacle started in july when we joined a conference and had no weeks off while Navy was off 3 weeks
Paint it any way you want….but we won the AAC to lose to Navy

Monken was in the transfer portal all week, quite distracting.

The AAC Championship is worth more. Not being in any way ready to play the AN game is just not understandable.

What 3 weeks was Navy off? Navy played and beat ECU 2 weeks ago.

That was a fatigued organization as a whole that did not come close to matching Navy’s energy and preparation. Credit where credit is due. Congratulations to the Navy team and organization. They soundly defeated a very solid Army team that failed to meet the tenacity level required for this game. Nice job Navy. Milk and cookies for Army…and a blanket too.

In over a decade of monken being our coach, I don’t think our offense has ever put up more than 20 points against navy. There’s more to it than “these games are always close”.
There’s something off with our approach offensively because even years where we are good we barely have a pulse.

You know it's not your day when a 285 pound nose guard can waddle for more than half the yardage on one play that it took your two best runners 19 and 14 carries to total for the entire afternoon.
Rivalry games have a way of humbling the very best of them.

This excuse is absurd. They were emotionless, unfocused and unprepared. A combination of the emotion expended in/ after the AAC game, and the coaches not managing that, getting the team emotionally and schematically prepared. Entire team was off focus: running wrong routes, throwing, blocking, being in position on run defense, etc. They were wholly unprepared for Navy's offense and were not fired up to move/ block the defense for the run game.

Navy played 2 games in 4 weeks. We played our toughest 4 opponents 4 weeks in a row. There is no question this team was exhausted. Throw in their vaunted brotherhood daddy trying to take 3 others jobs….i’m not surprised by yesterday at all. Disappointed but not surprised
I’d much rather have been off last 2 weeks and have had 2 fcs opponents on our schedule. But at least our AAC affiliation gonna get us a great bowl game and opponent
