Liberty, lol. They are an online degree mill with a 29% graduation rate. Schools like West Point and Liberty still have academic standards and will drop guys from the team if they don’t meet the standard.

I guess they need to start an LGBTQ studies major like the Naval Academy to get those graduation rates up.gaetano01 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 11:59 amLiberty, lol. Then you'll be happy to know USMA is ahead of the game. https://www.westpoint.edu/academics/aca ... on-studiesArmyRoadFan7 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 2:24 pmI guess they need to start an LGBTQ studies major like the Naval Academy to get those graduation rates up.gaetano01 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 11:59 amLiberty, lol. Re: 2024 Schedule
Diversity? Inclusion? We do not have to include this nonsense in any of our nation's academies. These beautiful schools have been created for the express reason to train men and women to elements of military training to become its leaders. We are all diversified and included. Leave that to the socialists that want to change our beloved country into something that we shall never be as long as our flag flies high, unlike the white house flag on the two sides of the rainbow flag in the middle, a short while ago. Makes me want to puke.

Re: 2024 Schedule
These AAC teams are much worse than...*checks notes*... ULM, UTSA, Troy, UMass, and Coastal Carolina in 2023; Coastal, UTSA, GA State, ULM, Troy, UConn, and UMASS in 2022; GA State, WKU, UConn, Miami (OH); Ball State, UMass, and Liberty in 2021.RABBLE wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 9:03 pm This is the kind of BULLDUST you get by joining a rag tag conference. If this is the kind of baloney you will get playing these scrub teams each and every year, be my guest. To me this is all horse feathers. Why did we do this? It is for the dollar. That was the ONLY reason, pure and simple.
Then in the one game you can yourself schedule, you will probably pick Notre Dame du Lac as your 12th and only game, a team we have not beat since 1958 a span of 65 years. I think the administration is demented. I'm disgusted with all of this.
I could go on, but I think you get the point. Army has basically played a schedule of a hodge-podge of CUSA, Sunbelt, and AAC teams with typically 2 FCS games and 1-2 decent P5 teams per year. Nothing will change in schedule strength.

Re: 2024 Schedule
Agreed on schedule strength...but for the sake of ease of scheduling, we no longer will play games in the northeast (UMASS or UConn) or California (San Jose State) etc...We will no longer play games in georgia which for years has been our number 1 recruiting state. We no longer play games in Ohio, another huge recruiting spot for us historically. No more games in Indiana. Michigan. etc. etc. And, importantly, we are now basically NEVER going to play games west of texas or Oklahoma other than Air Force. Becuase we only have 1 open slot on our schedule each year, we have no chance to play in Oergon or washington or california or arizona. We just have "given" the west coast to AF in terms of a HS kid being exposed to an academyArmy Frog Fan wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 11:17 amThese AAC teams are much worse than...*checks notes*... I don't argue that the quality of teams will change, but I do think we will go from playing in 20-25 states over a 5 year period to playing in like 10 or 12. And I think thats a mistake if the only reason is that it makes our scheduling more simple.

Re: 2024 Schedule
These are good points. This is the kind of discussion I think is definitely worth having regarding joining a conference. I fall more into the school of thought that they kind of needed to based on the changing landscape, but I don't pretend there's not drawbacks to it.wpgrad wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 12:30 pmAgreed on schedule strength...but for the sake of ease of scheduling, we no longer will play games in the northeast (UMASS or UConn) or California (San Jose State) etc...We will no longer play games in georgia which for years has been our number 1 recruiting state. Future schedules at Army appear to be as exciting as watching grass grow even without fertilizer.
