Neumann1 was right in the fact that if we are the highest ranked Group of 5 conf champ we get in. Unless Boise falters we would need our remaining games to vault us ahead of them. I thought moving 12 spots was a lot to ask. After yesterday with #16, 18, 19, 22 & 23 losing we will make a nice move up due to that attrition. BYU also lost to a 3 win Kansas team. If we win out now and win the AAC championship I honestly don’t know how you keep us out regardless of what Boise State does. Let’s hope we are still typing on this thread next Sunday!

Coach Ken had one of the stupidest play calls I've seen lately in SJSU's game against Boise. They were moving the ball pretty effectively, but were down 7 early in the 4th qtr. They got 8 yards on a 1st down. Then they tried a long pass on second down - makes sense. Then on 3rd down, instead of lining up and running for the two yards and a first down, they tried to run a reverse, pitching the ball backwards from the QB to the back. Of course the QB pitched the ball two yards behind the runner. Boise got the ball. That play literally killed SJSU momentum, bouyed Boise who pretty much dominated the rest of the way. Just a really goofy and unnecessary gamble on a third and two play.

Army moved up 2 spots to 22, but Tulane jumped over Army to 21 after routing Navy.

If his holds, does it mean that we will play the championship game at Tulane?

After Tulane was beaten and two days before CFP announce Monken and AAC Commissioner lobbying for Army to be considered for the CFP citing only number 4 ND has beaten them.
“Monken has held his views on the CFP rankings close to the vest but finally laid out the argument barely two days before the committee finalizes the field following championship weekend, not least of which is there are only seven teams in the nation (after Friday night) that have won at least 11 games.

“This (Army) team played 11 regular-season games,’’ Monken said, reminding people that Army still has one more game to play, against Navy. “They have beaten everybody they put in front of us, except for the number four team in the country (Notre Dame), and they beat the pants off of us … I get it. But we beat everybody else and just beat another bowl team tonight.’’”
