Anyway how do 14 teams play without East/West conferences? Maybe you all knew ... but i didn't.

Thought we would just take SMU's slot, but evidently A/N will never play during the season (unless ranked 1,2 - then play for the ship) so this scheduling will likely get tweaked.
SMU’s 2024 schedule does not include Navy:

2024
Home: Rice, UAB, Florida Atlantic, East Carolina
Away: North Texas, Tulane, South Florida, Charlotte

It does include Navy in 2025, though, so the AAC will need to make some adjustments then. If Army assumes SMU’s 2024 schedule that buys the AAC plenty of time to adjust going forward. That said, who knows what the AAC might look like in 2025.

Dr Lou Cella is gonna be really disappointed to hear that Air Force isn't running the triple option anymore. Air Force runs triple 4 or more times a game. It is the basis of what they do. Everything else is built off of it.
Lou Cella is some crackpot on YouTube and a Navy guy. I have been to several Air Force games over the past few years and the chief complaint of their fan base is how they have evolved away from the triple option. Many would say they wish they had Army’s offense. This being in the 2017-2021 timeframe.

Air Force runs a hybrid type offense with some option elements. Your argument that they are purely an under center triple option team is just wrong. By the way you are just some guy on a message board too.

This article was written in 2015. Do you think their offense has gotten more or less diverse since then?

What a great wonderful AAC home schedule in 2024. So exciting!!!! Rice, FAU, UAB and ECU. Three schools with lots of letters. To bad we can't add UTSA and NMSU as well. Folks going to be lining up to watch the UAB Blazers come to michie!!!!! Better than Boston College!!!! Add our game versus dartmouth and our 6th home game at yankee stadium.

SO great to have an easy schedule!!!

ugh. AAC means North Texas. Have to be some of the most corrupt officials in the nation on their home field.

Throw insults my way Roadkill, it don't matter worth a shit; but uh, NO; P&D is not "just some guy" on this board. YOU are just some guy.

P&D is a former Army Fullback on the '96 team which went 10 and 2, won the CIC and took Auburn to the brink in the Independence Bowl. He's done what you only whine about. He's got a ton more credibility, because he's been in the trenches, savvy?? He's also an ardent, contemporary student of the game and has forgotten more about offensive football than you, in your little hole and your af message board, will ever know. He brings a ton to this board and we're lucky to have him.

Done with you.

Out.

I am not a fan of the move, but what is done is done.

Let's go win the AAC!

I saw last week's game and the one before that( and all the rest so far. We're lucky to being invited to join any conference. I think Army will have a tough reaching the upper echelon of the conference. P.S. Can we switch to the "bone" next year; better yet, this week; and that's not too hard to fathom.

The game at Yankee Stadium will be an ND home game, if it happens....which is likely. I would rather see Army play better teams, like Tulane, Memphis, UTSA, North Texas, then playing two FCS games and one potential blowout every year against LSU etc. No one really wants to see us play UNLV, Troy, Coastal, especially with nothing on the line....at least we can compete for a conference title

Your opinions are your opinions. Calhoun and Thiessen the head coach and OC have both rejected the label they are an option team for years now. They are the ones who get to decide that, not you or anybody else.
