Alex Meredith Out for Season

Per JM in video below, Meredith is out for the season. While Daily appears to be the starter at QB, Meredith was competing and was the likely #2, at least early in the season.

! THOUGHT all QBS WORE RED SHIRTS WHILE AT PRACTICE !!!!

Now how did he get hurt? Players are NEVER supposed to touch a QB in practice. Geez, do we ever get some luck or is it some players stupidity for hitting the kid with wearing a red shirt? Hell, throw the red shirts away because they are not doing much good for this team.
You get tired of this every damn year to somebody who is critical to the success of the program. Yeah, "next man up ". The problem with that quote is the fact that the next man up 'aint as good.

He had surgery right away So" bye, bye" Meredith. Damn shame.

So QB Frank Harris of UTSA is playing his SEVENTH season at age 24 this season !!!! So our guys have to play them on their field !
We get a kid { Meredith} busting his ass for four years and he is out for his last year with a bad leg requiring surgery even before he gets out of camp.

Something is not right about this donky dust with these NCAA " so-called" rulings.

Maybe we can find a replacement on the intermural squad.

I'm all beat up already with 3 weeks to go before the ULM game down there. Probably have a hurricane in good ole Louisiana on game day.

Every time I post something, it is from the heart. It is what I feel.
Yes, I am sorry and sad each and every time one of the players go down with any injury. It is part of the reason I am an Army fan. I bleed Black, Gold and Gray and I never attended West Point. I wanted to but a physical reason did not allow that to happen. That was 70 years ago.

You post that I am BABBLING. Look yourself in the mirror as a West Point grad. What do you see?
You accuse another of what you call BABBLING for venting a feeling.
Maybe you didn't learn all you could at the academy. It's never too late to learn from someone not engraciated with the education you received back when you attended our best leadership school in the country.
Humility is a gift. I would suggest you begin to learn it even though many years have passed when you should have learned it.

With so many new QBs in an offense that runs the QB quite often, you need to have some full-contact practices to evaluate the guys you have. Only Daily has played in games so I think it’s appropriate to have the other guys having contact in practice to see how guys react. Plus, it’s possible this was a non-contact injury and nobody hit him!

Coleman, Robinson, and Harris will need to step up as backups. That’s football.

That's true. Meredith could have fallen into one of those road holes around the post.
By the way. Anybody know if the roads have been repaired as of yet? The Army Corps of Engineers was to put out bids for the work so you never know when that job will be completed..
Geez, maybe they got COST OVERRUNS like Michie now has.
