"Please do not belittle me on this forum" - feedback requested

I'd like to better understand the expectations of decorum on this forum - and what is reasonable/constructive vs. what is not. I'm still relatively new to commenting here, so feedback would be appreciated.

Rabble - who has commented more than any others on this forum, and who I gauge as being knowledgeable/reasonable - has what I perceive as a reasonable request not to be "belittled" by ARMORMAN. ARMORMAN is a WP grad?(yes?) and a presents themselves as stereotypical knuckle dragger (albeit from a keyboard)

On one hand ARMORMAN is a consummate agitator (engagement) - but is it constructive for his comments to make other top contributors to this forum feel belittled? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Hey ARMORMAN-
Every time I post something, it is from the heart. It is what I feel.
Yes, I am sorry and sad each and every time one of the players go down with any injury. It is part of the reason I am an Army fan. I bleed Black, Gold and Gray and I never attended West Point. I wanted to but a physical reason did not allow that to happen. That was 70 years ago.

You post that I am BABBLING. Look yourself in the mirror as a West Point grad. What do you see?
You accuse another of what you call BABBLING for venting a feeling.
Maybe you didn't learn all you could at the academy. It's never too late to learn from someone not engraciated with the education you received back when you attended our best leadership school in the country.
Humility is a gift. I would suggest you begin to learn it even though many years have passed when you should have learned it.
I close with this comment. Please do not belittle me on this forum again . Thank you.

I'm not sure this is a healthy topic.

It is a forum. I recommend getting out of it what is beneficial/interesting to you and ignoring that which you don't find interesting. Trying to stifle other peoples' comments kinda goes against the purpose, unless they are truly harmful to players or other posters. Let the superfan worrier and the curmudgeonly drinker do their thing and ignore or don't read their posts if they are bothersome. Just my take.

This is a reasonable perspective, thank you. I do think it's important for posters, like ARMORMAN, to get feedback that others on this forum think their contributions suck and that they could do better.

We only have, what, 30-40 active posters. Let’s embrace all differences and enjoy the variety of comments

Redboy, your suspiciously relentless obsession with Academy "scandals" like Jeff's salary and your reference to me as "themselves" tells me all I ever need to know about you. Try really hard to imagine how little I care about whether you approve of my comments. Try even harder to imagine that I'm likely to change.

Back into your "safe spot" little one, right after your final, inevitable and pathetic whine.

Done with you.

Out.

ARMORMAN - I do respect that you stick to your guns. I apologize if you feel I misappropriated your gender by labeling you "themselves". It's ironic you care to point this out though.

Regarding you quoting "safe spot" - I don't recall asking for one.

Apparently it’s time for our semi annual referendum on Armorman who I at one point affectionately referred to as Armorallman.

Nobody has had more run ins with him than myself but he has done a lot for Army Football. He played a large role in getting Stan Brock fired, even got a mention in an article by Sal Interdonato and has been a speaker at several Army Football events over the years. Not to mention all of the financial contributions he has made. All that being said he is not a nice person and does belittle people. He was a dick when I first showed up to this board around 2009 and he is one now. So I wouldn’t expect any changes.

Sounds like he gets results!

If any of you folks are interested my wife has a nice sewing circle that gets together on Sunday afternoons. They have tea, pineapple sandwiches, and share nice stories with each other. Just let me know and I'll get you their numbers.

I rather appreciate the spirited debate. In fact Armorman and I disagree on numerous things. And have had heated personal discussions from time to time. I'd still go to war with him tomorrow. Maybe I just have thick skin.

When is kickoff again? Getting short on topics to discuss here that matter.
