UTSA Expectations

What would you like to see from this Army team vs UTSA? We all want a W, but what would convince you that this team is on the right track and has a real shot at making a bowl game?
Here are my thoughts:
1. Continued progress on offense: Solid execution, good O line play, run the ball, sustain drives.
2. Daily continues to progress. Makes good reads, no turnovers.
3. Zero turnovers on O.
4. No big plays allowed by our D. Bend but do not break.

I'm not sure what to expect. Maybe we find our identity this game.
UTSA loses to Houston and scrapes by TX State. They have limited the run on defense which is concerning but not sure how good UH or Tx State are at rushing. If their run defense is good then I'm afraid this could get ugly. Like ULM this game may be dictated by how well our defense plays.
My concern offensively is if we get behind the sticks then there is less margin to make up for it vs UTSA. We will need to sustain drives and even vs Del State there were times we were highly inconsistent. Bryson Daily is our leading rushing with just 126 yards in two games and against two bad teams. So just hard to say. But I know if this doesn't go well that the concern is really gonna ramp up.
Let's hope we get a win. And Hope is not a method according to Gen Gordon Sullivan.

My best hope is that a few years ago we played our 4th stringer vs UTSA and beat them. I am not sure I see that this year on this team. Our defense looks great but our offense is very much a work in progress. UTSA is 10 point favorite if anyone is feelin' lucky

I’ll never forget my first day at CAS3 at Leavenworth in July 1987 when GEN Sullivan
who was a 1 star at the time opened up his talk to us in the auditorium with “Today I want to talk about birth control and movies. First, birth control… Hope, is not a method”

Progress on all fronts. Without it, we would have a long season especially with 5 tough opponents right in front of us.

Usually game 2 will set the tone for the season and the team will show the most improvement. DS was not much of a game to gain too much from but UTSA will definitely be different. It is our swing game of the year and this game will prove our destiny in 2023.

I hope we build on the confidence from last week
Offensively, I hope we keep the playbook open. Week 1 we basically ran last years offense from the shotgun. Last week we seemed to mix it up better.
Would love to see a turnover free game.

Here is what I hope for -
300 yds rushing and 150 yds passing
No turnovers
Defense gets two turnovers
We win big
Here is what I expect -
4 offensive turnovers (2 fumbles and 2 ints)
76 yds rushing and 100 yds passing
35 - 3 UTSA wins
PeeWee coach becomes offensive coordinator

1. Offense and Daily run the midline and wishbone like Robinson did in junk time.
2. Daily not cave under pressure and improve on his check downs on pass plays.
3. Defensive run defense hold like they did against Delaware State against FBS size and speed.
4. Defense pass defense fill those HUGE holes in zone coverage.
