Well...I never saw that coming!

Always good to get a win. Even better when it's against Air Force. We can still win the CIC.
6 turnovers by Air Force is just unreal.
The big run by Daily was huge. And an 11 play drive to score the 2nd touchdown was great.
However, we still have a ton of crap to clean up.
11 penalties for 119 yards is never going to fly.
And the lack of offensive production is still an incredible concern. The 4th down stop gave us a short field and we took a FG. Then we get a fumble after the 2nd TD and another short field and take another FG.
No doubt that Defense showed up today and won the day. CLEARLY WON THE DAY!
Here are our drives:
1. 4 Plays, 75 Yards, TD, Daily for 62 yards (started at the Army 25)
2. 4 Plays, 6 Yards, FG (drive started at the AFA 34)
3. 11 Plays, 43 Yards, TD, Daily has 8 carries on this drive (started at the AFA 43)
4. 6 Plays, 24 Yards, FG, (started at the AFA 47)
5. 4 Plays, 1 Yard, Punt (started at the Army 30) Holding Call
6. 5 Plays, 15 Yards, Punt (started at Army 25)
7. 3 Plays, 4 Yards, FG (started at the AFA 25)
Half
8. 6 Plays, -1 Yard, Punt (started at the Army 37)
9. 3 Plays, 2 yards, Punt (started at the Army 20)
10. 7 Plays, 35 yards, Downs (started at the Army 30) Illegal Snap call set us back -5
11. 4 Plays, 7 Yards, Punt (started at the AFA 44) 3rd and 3 and called a pass (incomplete)
12. 3 Plays, 4 Yards, Punt (started at the Army 23)
13. 4 Plays, 13 Yards, End of Game (started at the Army 42)
Only 1 drive that was over 10 plays. In the 2nd half we failed to put any drives together. This same style of play cost us several games already. 3 Drives in the 1st half were on short fields and we only got 3 FGs. As bad as Air Force was today they still had more total yards which is amazing. Bryson Daily carried it 36 times out of 51 rushes. That's pretty remarkable. And if you account for the long run he only average about 3 per carry. He played solid so I'm not critiquing him just pointing out that he was the whole offense today but not super effective outside the long run.
It's pretty amazing to get this win considering what we've seen so far. I just know that few teams are gonna give us 6 turnovers in a game.
One thing was clear though. Monken has refocused this staff on running the ball. Outside a few passes we stuck to the ground.
Great to get a win. Still tons of work to do!
