The 100th anniversary game to celebrate Blaik's time at Dartmouth before returning home to Army has been axed.

11 of our 12 games are out. Leheigh is 11. Our AD said he wants 1 fcs and 1 P5 each year along with 8 conference and AF and Navy

So assume the 12th game is either Wake which was already on our schedule or the rumored ND game

Putting the pieces together- if the 12th game is in fact Notre Dame at Yankee stadium, that means it'll be in November (likely on the 23rd based on N.D's current schedule). Yankees have traditionally not had any football games at the stadium until November, when baseball postseason would be over. If the A.F. game keeps its traditional spot on the first Saturday in November, that means 3 of Army's non-conference games will be in November/December. So after the Lehigh game they'll be going right into AAC play with their second game of the season.

Almost has to be that way. If we open with an FCS team, play AF 1st Saturday in November, keep Navy where it is, it doesn’t leave much room for maneuver with the last game. Either very early or very late in the schedule.

This is the kind of BULLDUST you get by joining a rag tag conference. If this is the kind of baloney you will get playing these scrub teams each and every year, be my guest. To me this is all horse feathers. Why did we do this? It is for the dollar. That was the ONLY reason, pure and simple.
Then in the one game you can yourself schedule, you will probably pick Notre Dame du Lac as your 12th and only game, a team we have not beat since 1958 a span of 65 years. I think the administration is demented. I'm disgusted with all of this.

Ok we get it. Not every thread has to become a tangent about joining a conference.

you are correct, the problem every topic has its roots in and round the schedule.

Maybe we need a new thread “Bitching about the AAC,” so we can have all the complaints, gripes, and general dislike of joining a conference in one spot so we can talk about our schedule, opponents, etc. without the tangents.
