Sports Illustrated published odds for winning the AAC using FanDuel’s odds:

Memphis: +230
Tulane: +390
South Florida: +550
UTSA: +650
Rice: +1300
East Carolina: +1600
North Texas: +2300
Army: +2300
Florida Atlantic: +2700
Navy: +2700
UAB: +2700
Tulsa: +3500
Charlotte: +5000
Temple: +13000

Army at +2300 means that a $100 bet would get you $2,300 back if Army wins the AAC.

Assuming these odds are an accurate view of the relative ability of each team (a HUGE assumption), Army’s AAC debut would play out like this:

Florida Atlantic: W
Rice: L
Temple: W
Tulsa: W
UAB: W
East Carolina: L
North Texas: Tie
UTSA: L

Which would leave Army 4-3-1 in league play. If we win the CIC, beat Lehigh, and lose to ND, that would leave us 7-4-1 and we would be bowl eligible before the Navy game.

Every fan says Army will lose to Notre Dame. Then that is a given loss to all amateur pundits like myself.
So why even play them if it is a guaranteed loss ?

Please give a sensible answer besides the money angle.

To me, there 'aint any.

Our coach says that we enter EVERY game to win it. Good coach speak.

I just shake my head over this schedule. I shake my head over who we are playing from now on in this conference. About as exciting as watching paint dry. What a bunch of nobodies. :?

So we beat a Tulsa. Big deal. Ho-HUM.

Maybe I 'am getting too old to watch this crap.

75 years of this support and now this. Disappointing. Really is.
