Temple Predictions
I was concerned last week that Army would come out flat after the bye-week...boy was I glad to be wrong! 28-0 at the half...they were certainly the farthest thing from flat for that game!
I'm concerned about a potential trap game this week, so I hope they prove me wrong again! That being said, Temple has been playing better ball than when they faced Navy a few weeks ago. Between that, being on the road and a short week, and this being Temple's second look at an option-oriented offense, I think this is closer than the spread. Army wins, but doesn't cover:
Army: 31
Temple: 24
Beat Temple!

Re: Temple Predictions
I don't think it'll be a trap game in the sense of Army taking them too lightly or anything, but road games on a short week are a challenge. I'm going to say Army wins an ugly one, 21-17.

Army 52/ Temple 13
Also note that Army did not have a bye week. They had no game scheduled. A bye occurs when you don't play in a tournament round because of your final conference or tournament position.

Jeff Monken is a really good coach. I would bet he used the bye week to get ready for both Rice and Temple.

Re: Temple Predictions
Short weeks are tough but it works both ways. Army does not run the same "Delaware Wing T" style offense that Navy runs so any preparation on defense Temple did for Navy does not translate directly to the power running zone TO Army is running this year. And I believe Army may have the best, biggest, and most physical O-line they've ever had. And Temple's offense is running much better with a new QB than the pitiful band that Navy faced. Let's not forget Temple's placekicker either. But, again, short weeks are tough, so...

Re: Temple Predictions
Congrats to the winner this week for the closest prediction!
Glad my concerns for a trap game were unfounded...love what the team is doing right now and excited for what the rest of the season holds!
