With Memphis upsetting Tulane tonight, if Army can win against UTSA we will host the championship at Michie.
Time to take care of business…Beat ‘em!

I think just like in 2016 where the AAC title game caused injuries to navy QB and other player that helped us win, we are going to regret this extra game when we play Navy
Joining a conference is stupid but having navy game not count in standings AND be played how its being played is just plain dumb

My opinion only----
I agree with wpgrad all the way. Always have and always will on this subject.
We ARE AMERICA'S TEAM. Always play a diversified national schedule from teams all over the country.
Forget national playoffs. USMA is not at that high a level. Not anymore.
WIN the CIC, get a good bowl game, win it go home a happy coach, player and fan.

People wanted the Army-Navy Game to remain special.
We all know why it has its own week: It couldn't compete with all the national rivalries for eyeballs.

Its why i’ve said from day 1 joining was a lazy decision, not thought out. No one in the room had the guts to say, you know, what if we actually win and this navy game backfires?
And instead of 3 weeks off for navy we’re going to have 6 days after playing a top 30/40 tulane team. For what? A guaranteed game versus tulsa and temple instead of ball state and holy cross? No thanks

For what? Are you kidding? Have you not read anything about sports in 3 months or so?
We made a real run at the CFP, established ourselves as a top-5 G5 team, have a chance to win the AAC, CIC, and a bowl game all while being all over the sports news.
Yes, it’s tough, but if you win, you play harder teams. I’ll grant you that the long-term picture is to be seen, but it would be tough to ask for more the first year in the AAC.

Well I’ve pretty much seen every army game each year since late 90’s so…yes I watch
Yes, this year has been great. We caught all the breaks, had a very easy aac schedule, and had a once in a generation QB. But sorry I’m not excited for future years where we get the usf’s and Tulane and Memphis ‘ in season… and we play the same teams over and over…and we can’t manipulate our schedule to have 3 weeks off before navy. And for what? The bowl we’ll likely get this year was the bowl we’d have gotten anyways with 6 wins as an independent
And being in the AAC championship? No one cares. Don’t believe me…without looking…who played in the 2021 aac championship
We’ll regret this decision by 2027

I guess wpgrad and myself are the only ones on this forum who agree that joining any conference is a bad, bad decision down the road.
A beautiful new Michie and nobody will show up when our teams will not be as good as this years team. Ego and greed have won out on this long term campaign. Beautiful new facility, so-so teams and Coach Monken retires or quits us. Absolutely no long term thought on this whatsoever. Only thing is the present folks who run WP never, ever look at the big picture. They look only at their legacy while here. After that they could care less.
That includes Gilland, the AD and anybody else who made this everlasting boondoggle.
