I know that typically the Army Navy game is very low-scoring, however, Daily is at 29 rushing touchdowns in just 10 games.
At some point during the AAC Championship game I started thinking about how close Daily is to the record. How realistic is it for Daily to be able to tie or break the Barry Sanders' single-season rushing TD record of 37, set back in 1988?
If Daily had been able to play in the AF game and would have been for sure 100% for North Texas, he might be at 32 or 33, with only needing 2 or 3 rushing td's per game vs Navy and Marshall to break the record.
With how the bowl scenario has played out, and Marshall losing at least their HC and QB, there is the potential that if Daily can score 3+ rushing touchdowns against Navy he will be at least within striking distance to get or share the record against Marshall.
Is There a Realistic Chance of Daily Breaking Barry Sanders' Record?
