Geez, I saw Marshall at MICHIE the first time we played them. That was their first game in the FBS.
I thought we would beat them pretty easily but but they smoked us all day long.
Speed, agility, a great HB and QB done us in. Opening day too. Both those guys went on to stellar NFL careers.

Moss and Pennington. Both with long NFL careers. I remember that game very well. Moss looked like a pro playing against high schoolers. Army was favored but Marshall ruled the day.

There is talk that a lot of Marshall’s players will enter the portal due to the coach going to Southern Miss. This bowl matchup is an unmitigated disaster.
