Anyone else watch any of that game last night? When they showed the TN players warming up without shirts to try and "acclimate" to the cold, I knew TN was doomed and would be run out of the stadium. Same stupid thing Tulane tried to do. 21-0 in the 1st quarter and the game was over before it really started. Yes, TN made it 21-10 at one point, but they were never really in the game and I think that stupid show of bravado was part of it. Their bodies came into kickoff at a deficit when it came to heat and were never ever able to recover between long periods of time on the sidelines, etc.
Not hearing any of the talking heads mentioning this, but can't help but think it was definitely a factor. All the focus seems to be on how good Ohio State looked...but when you play against a team with frozen feet, you're going to look faster than them, lol. If you're a betting person, I wouldn't go all-in on Ohio State as the team to beat...think they played a solid game against a frozen opponent and there's not much more to take from that game when it comes to the rest of the playoffs.

Re: The TN - Ohio St Game
Was Coach Josh Heupel part of the shirtless parade by any chance? That would be a picture worth at least a thousand words. From what I saw the TN players looked to have plenty of layers of "natural insulation" to protect them from the cold. I would venture to guess that many of the Vols spent more time on the buffet line than in the weight room. The sight of them shirtless was probably enough to move the betting line a few points before kickoff.
FWIW, I saw the same thing happen in the A-N game in Philly the year Navy missed the field goal in the snow on the final play of the game - maybe 2017? It was just a few random guys running on the field, not a preplanned team event.

The first round of the CFP made me feel better about Army’s performance vs. Notre Dame.

Yep. Had Tulane not lost to Memphis and been ranked for the AAC championship and had Boise lost, you won't be able to convince me that Army shouldn't have been given a shot as one of the top-5 conference champions. Likely the 12 seed playing in Austin.
All 4 of those playoff games were never in doubt, and were pretty boring. Although I think the SMU game would have been a lot different had the TE not dropped that wide open TD pass and put SMU up 7 early instead of a turnover on downs. QB looked lost at times after that.
