Oklahoma scores TD with 6 seconds on the clock. They elect to go for two and the win, rather than kicking PAT and going to OT. Navy sacks the Oklahoma QB to retain a lead, 21-20. Six second to play as Oklahoma kicks off.

FINAL
Navy 21
Oklahoma 20

Again, Navy shows that they can beat big name teams. A fine ending to a solid 10-3 season for Navy.

Wasn't the Navy victory similar to the Army victory against Mizzou (SEC) a few years ago. I thought that Oklahoma, a 6-6 team, was depleted by the portal. Am I wrong?

You are not wrong. Some just choose to find a way to twist facts. A 6-6 Oklahoma team, somewhat depleted by those sitting out and by the portal, is not a big name team. Good win by Navy. They had a great season and so did we.

I agree with all that. A good Navy win. I am hoping we get under center again and whup La Tech.

Happy New Year.

I thought I heard that OU lost 25 players in the portal. So with a six and six team, along with their portal loss did not exactly make them Notre Dame.

People will just see that Navy beat Oklahoma.

ESPN was talking about it nonstop.

Bowl games are now useless now due the transfer portal. Scrap it along with the NIL.
Apart from the 12- team playoff, no need for other bowl games. The stands are empty with half your team gone. What is the use of even playing them? College football is broke and ruined as far as I see it.

How about we scrap the 12 team playoff instead? If the idea of a playoff was to determine the best team in the country on the playing field, this sure ain't it. Between the transfer portal and having even the most marginal NFL prospects sitting on the sidelines, it's guaranteed that the survivor of this endless marathon will bear little resemblance to the team of a month ago Let them have a nice bowl game in a sunny location and let everyone else spend all winter arguing who's really #1.

Give Oklahoma credit for showing some faith in their team by going for the win. Why on earth would a 6-6 team want to prolong their season any longer than necewssary?
