Army is using the december grad situation to its advantage and the cadets stay at west point the entire time, take classes, are doing military things, etc. Also, not all of these cadets are doing this for football reasons. Injuries, academics, etc...

Air Force took 40 players and just sent them home for football reasons only because Covid let them and it gave them an extra year of football.

You may not see a difference. I do.

Was Napoleon McCallum the first to do this? We know he did get an extra year due to injury. Just don’t know if it happened before him.

pretty sure he was the first. Navy allegedly doesn't "do this" currently.

For the record, I have no problem with this at all. The cadets are in school, they still go off and serve, etc so who cares if they are there for 4 years or 4.5 years. (and please spare me the 'well the taxpayers might care' because most taxpayers think Army football is played by soldiers from fort knox or bragg or whatever the places are called now)

Don’t really have anything to add, just like seeing “Air Force Collapse” near the top of chat topics. Makes me smile every time.

I noticed one quick thing when Monken and Calhoun shook hand immediately post- game.
In all the other games when Monken shook hands with the other head coach win or lose, he removed his cap.
He did NOT make that gesture when it was time to shake Calhoun's hand.
I guess it's the little things that tell how you really feel about another.
