Why not?? This kid is so critical to our success. He is a fullback playing a high caliber level of quarterback.

Not to be picky here but the HEISMAN trophy was named after Coach John Heisman who at Georgia Tech at the time rolled up the all-time record for points in a football game by beating Cumberland College, 222-0 way back when in the early days.
Can you imagine any team today rolling up a score like that?? The media would have a field day with that one.
Notre Dame was beat by Army in a rout in 1944 beating the Irish, 59-0, complaining by its fans that Army poured it on yet two weeks earlier ND beat Dartmouth, 64-0. Never heard a complaint about that one.
Also in historical context, the Irish, known as the Ramblers before they changed the name to the Irish back early in the 19 hundreds, beat the "powerful "American Medical College by the score of 112-0.
I hope those aspiring doctors turned about better doctors than football players.

Incidentally, that Army defeat of 59-0 STILL after all these years, remains the all-time biggest loss in Notre Dame football history.

Play calling and offensive game planning were horrible in 2022, but makes you wonder if Brent Davis might have saved his job if he played Daly instead of tyler.

Considering we ran the qb 20 times a game off tackle that year, prob would have been more successful with a guy that’s 220lbs and not 5-7.

Still finding a way to air your hate for Tyler is impressive….sort of.

Back to original subject, if Daily wants to be at the Downtown Athletic Club in December, Army will have to run the table in the regular season. That's a tough bar to clear but, boy, would I love to see it.

I think if the magic holds for wins and he doesn’t get injured Bryson would be a great candidate like Reynolds to be at the finalist event. He looks like a winner/leader on TV is humble when he speaks to the media - and the media is really taking to him. West Point media and PR needs in a couple of weeks to promote him heavily.
BTW I loved Hopkins but, understood from classmate on post that Hopkins was part of the summer truck injuries and just wasn’t the same after. Since Monken doesn’t speak to injuries not much known how extensive injuries were.

The author lists 5 Heisman candidates near the end of the article. Quite the long shot for sure and the team hasn’t played anyone very good yet, so these strong performances will need to continue against better competition, but great to some love for Army out there!

It’s Heisman, not Hysman. And Its Daily, not Daly.And my grandfather was the very first cadet manager with the very first Army football team in 1890. He retired in 1932 as the most senior general in the army. And his coach, named Michie had a football stadium named after him. Young Arnold Tucker was the great quarterback with Davis and Blanchard. Young was his actual first name. My classmate, Bill Carpenter was on the cover of a Life Magazine not once, but twice. The first time was because he was known nationwide as the Lonely End. That team 1958, had two Hall of Fame halfbacks, We had a Heisman Trophy winner that year, and would’ve won the national championship, because we had beaten ND 14 to 2 at South Bend. The cadets walking the area were released and along with the rest of the Corps of Cadets TP’ed Trophy Point (the firsties still in SB)
But we did not win the national championship because that Heisman Trophy winner, playing injured in the defensive backfield had a completed pass thrown over his head, scoring a U of Pitt receiver to score on the last play of the first half. Game ended in a tie.

I don’t disagree. I was just pointing out Dong’s hatred for Tyler is still burning even though the kid isn’t on the team anymore.
