How about that? They are projecting army to go 11-0.

Navy is ranked #2 and projected to go 10-1, which has to mean we beat them in the conference finals.

Re: Army #1 in AAC Power Rankings
Love the attention both Army and Navy are getting...but come on, whoever did this analysis didn't do their homework. Both Army and Navy play Notre Dame. I can't believe that sports journalist really thinks Army and Navy should be projected to beat Notre Dame? North Texas looks pretty good at this point, ECU and UTSA won't be "gimmes" either. Navy has to face Tulane, and they look very good at this point. They have to play USF who won't be easy either.
Would love to see Army and Navy run the AAC table...but there's a lot of football left and there are still some good teams ahead for both to face.

Great, level headed take here. I couldn’t agree more.gabn92 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 3:51 pm Love the attention both Army and Navy are getting...but come on, whoever did this analysis didn't do their homework. Now where’s Rabble to tell us that the American conference is “hogwash” and rail against the existence of Notre Dame?
Not a shot at you, Rabble. I respect the decades of fandom and get some genuine entertainment from your posts.

If this plays out like this we will play Navy two times in a row, Conference Championship and A/N game.

Re: Army #1 in AAC Power Rankings
One interesting thing about the rest of the schedule and opponent prep for Army. It may not matter but:
@ Tulsa - does not play Navy
vs. UAB - already played Navy
vs. ECU - plays Army before Navy
vs AFA - will have already played Navy
@ UNT - does not play Navy
vs ND - will have already played Navy
vs UNT - does not play Navy
So 3 upcoming opponents will have seen the TO in some form earlier in the season before they play Army, whereas, Navy only has that happen with ECU and Rice. However, Temple had that advantage against Army and it didn't seem to matter. Guess we'll see.
