ECU Fires Head Coach

Post by gabn92 »

Just saw a news announcement that ECU has fired their football coach. Not trying to gloat over someone losing their job, but this is the 2nd time I can remember a coach being fired after losing badly to Army: Major Appelwhite of Houston after the bowl game a few years ago being the other.

College athletics is a brutal sport for coaches and players. I see it first hand with my child who is a P4 player. It is 100% a mean, nasty business.

Army has now fired Applewhite of houston, Ken at Navy, and houston at ECU.

While I hate to see someone lose their job, I wouldn’t mind adding TC to that list.

I think saying that Army fired Ken is a bit of a stretch ...

If Navy won that year, you think he still gets fired? No way

That's a good question ... he had bad teams for 3-4 years. I don't know if they would have retained him if Navy won. I think Chet was done with him either way.
