2025 quarterback
In the same way we found andrew davidson playing Lb and converted him to our 2016 fullback who ran 28 fullback dives versus navy in the 2016 streak buster…i sure hope we can find a better 2025 alternative at QB. We are our best with an Ahmad Bradshaw or Dailey body type. 220 pound running backs who can play QB. Plain and simple. We saw the alternative with tyler and laws and heaven forbid angel santiago back in the ellerson days all these 175 pound guys
That said …. Dailey is technically eligible in 2025 as a December grad. Just sayin

Re: 2025 quarterback
I wouldn’t shut the door on Coleman just yet. He definitely is not built like Daily, but the game plan should recognize that. We have some great talent, like Udoh, that can carry the ball and don’t have to run 70% QB power (like we did with Tyler). When we started this year, we had pretty good ball distribution. When we started the 2H today, we let Udoh carry the load. Coleman will also get better with experience.

Re: 2025 quarterback
I was having some serious little people nightmares. No offense but the QB keepers and pinball machine effects were all too familiar from only a few short years ago. That frame works in most high school games but in very few FSB games. Thank goodness for a great defensive effort and the most horrible Air Force team I have personally ever watched. And lest I forget: Appreciate ‘Ya Bryson Daily!!!!!!!

Re: 2025 quarterback
The QB being able to run the ball effectively makes a huge difference in this offense... Coleman is undersized and has happy feet. He has not hit the hole well so far and doesn't fall forward when the defense makes contact with him. It is night and day difference that will result in many more punts.WrekDivr wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 11:34 pm I wouldn’t shut the door on Coleman just yet. Re: 2025 quarterback
I’m with WrekDivr. While I didn’t necessarily like what I saw from Coleman on Saturday in terms of next year potential, he did enough to win the game. We played a conservative offense with very few pitches or true options and that made sense to me as it was his first start. I’m willing to give the kid some time to see how he improves and what the offense looks like when we open it up with him under center.
You can’t teach size but maybe he’ll hit the weight room hard in the off-season.

Perhaps he will get better, but he has looked pretty much the same in every appearance. Happy feet, tentative running. Think he will reduce the offense to 10 against 11, as most small QBs do in this type of an offense.ColdWarYushok87 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:08 am I’m with WrekDivr. I believe we also have a yearling QB, Hellums, who saw a few snaps this year. He's over 200lbs.
