Picking up Air Force players and carrying them.
Twice yesterday, an Air Force player that had the ball was picked up by the legs and carried. The first time it was a gentle drop after the carry, the second time the Air Force player was put down with a bit of force. Although interesting to see, especially against a rival, I was surprised they didnt result in an Army penalty. Are there any rules against that?

Look up pussy rules, or DEI rules, or woke rules. You might find something there....

Funny that the game has changed so much that when we now see violence we question it. It’s supposed to be a violent game for violent men. I too found myself hedging thinking, ugghh let’s not get a stupid penalty, but the whistle hadn’t blown and it was all legal. I always learned to play through the echo of the whistle. But I’ve seen enough targeting and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties to get a little gun shy too.
Here’s a list of things that have changed since I played
Targeting
Kick Return Wedge
Kick off wedge busters
Cut blocks outside the tackle box
Fair catches in kick offs at the 25 yd line
Clock changes to limit the number of plays in a game to include changes to overtime
I’m probably missing a few others. I know I’m old school in my views but I miss the days when the game carried more risk. Because it took that much more courage to be in and a part of it. Just my opinion though and certainly not in the majority.

Perhaps it's the defense's response to the "Bush Push" in which a ball carrier can gain yardage by his o-linemen shoving him forward. I'd think it'd be a lot harder to do that if the runner's feet are off the ground.

I agree that the game was more violent 20-30 years ago. But….players are way bigger stronger faster. If we played with 1980 rules i think we’d see deaths in games

I won't opine in the rules, as I didn't play past 10th grade so I can't speak to the potential injury that we are asking these kids to risk. But Armorman this whole DEI, pussy, woke stuff just makes no sense. Ultimately, these rules were put in place to protect QBs who are in the majority less athletic and white. Not to mention, your deliver is almost overtly racist.

Don't forget the best hits that were outlawed - crack back blocks.

Not a fan of how that was written, but there is nothing "racist" in the post.hiangle6 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 8:43 pmI won't opine in the rules, as I didn't play past 10th grade so I can't speak to the potential injury that we are asking these kids to risk. Good point. And not just the crack back but also the rule that if hits aren't relevant to the play. Which is another highly subjective rule.ithurtstowatch wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 6:52 am Don't forget the best hits that were outlawed - crack back blocks.
