I 100% agree with most of what you said especially the part about over riding thatcher (that 4th and 2 in particular)
I love monken but he deserves a lot of criticism this season. We are tackling poorly. Turning the ball over This team is capable of playing well, as evidence by a great win over UTSA, but have been getting worse. We seem generally unprepared. How about the fact that we really seemed disorganized about who should be starting the game at qb? We’re they hoping to rest daily so he was fresh against Air Force, and then we threw him in down two scores after having a freshman get all the practice reps?
I fully expect to lose to Air Force, because we never win the games we are supposed to lose, and we often lose games we should win. hopefully I eat my words next week. This is a 2 game season now in my opinion.

Season is a joke. We will be underdogs the rest of the way.

Surprisingly Monken said in the post game presser that they had planned to put Daily in at some point and he was a game time decision. So maybe a little bit of both desperation and pre planning.
I only know that this whole thing is a disaster at this point. And I'm not sure who could come in and fix it.

Where can I see the post-game presser?

For this season: gotta start sitting folks whose heads aren't in the game, like the LB who kept getting stuck behind his own D lineman, neither reacting left or right, and consistently letting UMass RB past him without a touch, QB throwing into double coverage, right side of O line...step up or move out.
To be honest, I"d think about starting all second string next week and see if anyone gets the message.
For next year, get an O line coach who has a clue on how to synchronize them into a unit on every play.

Thatcher has failed miserably. The offense is anemic. The rest of the team sucks too. Badly. I’m so angry that my teeth hurt.
We are getting taken to the woodshed next week.

General Burnside thinks our strategy is silly.
And that is the general who led the Mud March and hopeless assaults at Fredericksburg.
Maybe the melted statue of General Lee had his revenge today?

Thatcher is just running the stupid offense that his boss is having him run. You can’t fire OCs back to back and not have the finger of failure point at the coach.

I just think the only way he can maintain any sense of credibility is to scrap this whole thing as quickly as possible and get back to an under center system that is run heavy, physical, and dominant. Has to hire a professional O line coach at this point too.

As i posted in another thread, its ridiculously stupid to even talk about making an offense change after just 7 games. Its not even november
Stick it out, make it work, beat navy, hit spring ball with a vengeance. Anything else reeks of a quitter mentality and we’d be the laughingstock of college football
