Re: Worley Promoted to Offensive Coordinator
Man monken is ruthless if he fires Davis his long time bud, hires this dude, then fires him after 7 months
I’m glad we are under center. I’d love to see us go 8-4 and not throw a pass all season
But I’m shocked if this means what it appears to mean

This says we parted ways with Darren Paige but doesn’t say we fired Thatcher? Is he staying on staff? Or are Drinkall and Thatcher fired?

1. I think this is the right move. Based off the CC game, Worley seems like he know what he’s doing. He’s young so hopefully we have stability for a long time.
2. Navy, who is looking for a an offensive coordinator, won’t be able to hire Worley.

Quote from Monken
“It’s not wholesale back to under center,” Monken said. “We need to able to do both to maximize our potential here. We need to be different enough, which is why we’ve run the option.”

Hope also that Vitti returns to Running Backs coach and we hire a real, authentic O line coach....

Re: Worley Promoted to Offensive Coordinator
Personally, I have to say that a under center triple option offense that incorporates, for example, 25% of their plays from the shotgun, but running true flex bone option, would be a really hard offense to stop. I know this year in the games were they were running out of the shotgun almost exclusively they were certainly five or 10 times where you were like, please, get under center and have Jacobi run the ball for 2 yards it’s 3rd and 1.
I think if we can figure out a way to do an offense using both, given the new cut block rules, we might find a best of both worlds approach that replaces our 2018 beast
