ARMY BASKETBALL
Correct me if wrong, but did our basketball team com 1 game or 8 points short of making March Madness --The NCAA tournament. It appears Lehigh will represent the Patriot League. Ironically in spite of this teams success there has been no media publicity nor mention on this board of the teams accomplishments. Indiana is getting more press for being left out of the tournament. Another indication of our wokeish weak uninspiring Athletic Dept.

Re: ARMY BASKETBALL
Well I didn't see the Women's selection show, but the women lost to Lehigh by twelve in the Patriot League Championship game and were probably pretty close to making it at 24-7. Defense in the second half of the championship game was a mystery to me...rather than fronting LeHigh's center who was taller than most everybody on Army's team, the Army team tried to play from behind her and got called for numerous fouls when she didn't score at will. It would generally be a shock if the #2 team in the Patriot made the NCAAs, based on the strength of the league.
The men seem to have fallen apart at the end of the season, closing out their final six games at 1-5 to finish 10-=8 in the League and lose their first game in the tournament. There isn't much out there, that I can find, on what happened to the men's team down the stretch aside from shooting poorly.

Our athletic communications department is a revolving door of hires. Meanwhile, most of the Navy's have been there for a decade plus.

Re: ARMY BASKETBALL
Men lost starter and last year’s Patriot League Rookie of the Year Josh Scovens to season-ending injury, which seemed to be the primary reason for the poor finish to what was otherwise a very good season for Men’s Basketball.kfan12 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 9:06 am Well I didn't see the Women's selection show, but the women lost to Lehigh by twelve in the Patriot League Championship game and were probably pretty close to making it at 24-7. Certainly room for improvement, but why the criticism for the Athletic Department vis-a-vis our Women’s team finishing second in the league tournament? Their season was covered on the website.

Don't think I criticized the athletic department at all with respect to the women's team. I do, however, think they could put more into coverage of all the sports.
