Challenges for Air Force
Colgate, which finished 10-2 in 2018, opened its 2019 season on Saturday with a 34-14 loss to Villanova. The Raiders returned 7 offensive and 6 defensive starters from a year ago. Interestingly, Colgate trailed this game 27-0 at the half. The Raiders cut that lead to 27-14 but the third quarterback but went on to lose. Quarterback Grant Brenman completed 21 of 36 passes for 211 yards, a TD and an interception. The Raiders managed 288 yards total offense but allowed 444 yards total offense to Villanova.
